SUPER AUDIO CD
FONE': THE FIRST ITALIAN LABEL TO PUBLISH SUPER AUDIO CD.
Super Audio CD & Fonè records: in its constant pursuit of sonic perfection, Fonè was the first Italian record company – and one of the first in the world – to release its audiophile classical and jazz recordings in the new Super Audio CD format developed by Philips and Sony.
The Super Audio CD format offers audiophiles an unparalleled ability to reproduce the original source with state-of-the-art fidelity.
The Super Audio CD uses DSD (Direct Digital Stream) technology to deliver superior sound quality, with the ability to render all the nuances of natural sound. This technology faithfully reproduces the original waveforms, resulting in clearer, more natural sound that captures the original musical atmosphere with exceptional realism.
With a sampling rate 64 times higher than that of a CD, the Super Audio CD offers a frequency response of up to 100 kHz and a dynamic range of up to 120 dB across the entire audible range, ensuring faithful reproduction.
The Super Audio CDs are all hybrid and also contain the standard CD layer, offering maximum compatibility because they can be played on both conventional CD players and new Super Audio CD players.
