This album was recorded by Giulio Cesare Ricci at the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome in May 2001.
The absolute protagonist is Maestro Salvatore Accardo, violinist and director of the Italian Chamber Orchestra.
Worth highlighting is Accardo's violin revision of the most famous piece “Oblivion” which gives the album its title.
The relationship between the musician Astor Piazzolla and Salvatore Accardo was one of friendship and great mutual respect, so much so that Piazzolla wrote a score, La Milonga en Re, specifically for Accardo.
The master was made with the AMPEX ATR 102 (Electronic Tube Ampex Model 351-1965) 2 tracks 1/2 inch 30ips modified by David Manley.
The mastering was realized by Giulio Cesare Ricci using the analogue and valve Signoricci’s system.

Also for this recording Giulio Cesare Ricci used a "field effect" recording technique, natural sound, without the use of equalizers, without sound expansion and compression systems... all this to make the listener experience his own system domestic hifi the live effect as if it were present at the performances.
