Among the many violin works that Giulio Cesare Ricci recorded with Salvatore Accardo, these two Sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven could not be missing: the Sonata in A Major Op. 47 "A Kreutzer" and the Sonata in F Major Op. 24 "La Primavera". In this album the great Maestro plays the Stradivarius Violin "Hart ex Francescatti 1727" and is accompanied on the piano by the great pianist Giorgia Tomassi. The location chosen for this recording (which took place in April 2004) is the "Caetani" Music Hall, Villa di Ninfa - Giardini di Ninfa (Latina). Giulio Cesare Ricci used the legendary original Neumann U47, U48, M49 tube microphones The master for the vinyl was realized with the Ampex ATR 102 1/2 inch 30ips. The recording was made without sound manipulation, nor equalization, nor reverb, nor compression and expansion... but natural sound with true timbre.
