"Here, these two composers, masters of impressionism, take on the violin and piano repertoire: Claude Debussy with his final Sonata no.3 and some transcriptions of famous pieces for piano; Maurice Ravel with his youthful, short Sonata no.1, combined with other tributes to friends who were virtuoso violinists"
This album has been recorded in the “ Sala dell’Ermellino” in Milan, recently built close to "Leonardo's Vineyard", near the "Ultima cena". The perfect acoustics, cured by Andrea Farnetani, and the project by Arch. Elena Borghi have made this house of music unique, where Leonardo Da Vinci kept his "bottega", near the Duomo, where the great Flemish composer Joquin Desprez accompanied the marvellous singers of the cathedral.
