This album contains some of the great masterpieces of the violist Salvatore Accardo. Salvatore Accardo has been recording with Giulio Cesare Ricci for 30 years and this album contains some of the most beautiful recordings for solo violin, violin and piano, quartet, violin and orchestra. Worth highlighting are J.S.Bach's Chaconne, N. Paganini's La Campanella, Astor Piazzolla's Oblivion and then... Lovers of beautiful sound will be able to appreciate the acoustics of the various places where Giulio Cesare Ricci "set" the recording: Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music (Rome), Teatro Ponchielli (Cremona), , Pieve del Convento dei Cappuccini (Peccioli), Auditorium of Lodi Arch. Renzo Piano, Palazzo Affaitati "Ala Ponzone" Civic Museum (Cremona), "Caetani" Music Hall Villa di Ninfa (Latina), Auditorium of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia (Rome) and Oratorio del Gonfalone (Rome). Giulio Cesare Ricci used only two microphone pairs for this recording, two Neumann M49s and two Neumann U47s.
