This record is a tribute to Chet as an artist who unfolded his story and opened himself with the sound of his trumpet and voice.Together with Enrico we did not necessarily want to excluvely play material from his vast repertoire as an interpreter, but we selected what we like most.
Chet taught me that it is not important “what it is” you play but “how” you play it.

It features the 5 most famous Italian jazz musicians in the world: Enrico Rava trumpet and flugelhorn, Paolo Fresu trumpet and flugelhorn, Stefano Bollani piano, Enzo Pietropaoli double bass and Roberto Gatto drums.
This album produced by Via Veneto Jazz was re-mastered by Giulio Cesare Ricci using the entirely analogue and valve Signoricci system.
The Master for the SACD was created by transferring the analogue master recorded with the Ampex ATR 102, 2 tracks, 1/2 inch, 30ips onto Pyramix using the dCS A/D and D/A converters
The sound is natural with true timbre.
It's a "must", an absolute must have!
