The program chosen for this album is particularly refined and this makes it attractive.
Next to the standards that are part of Scott Hamilton's more usual and familiar repertoire such as "All God's Children Got Rhythm" and "Easy To Love", the American saxophonist has thought of songs that are more unusual for him but congenial to the duo that plays them in a heard way. It is inspired.
In fact, we find a rare ballad like "If I'm Lucky", masterpieces from musicals like "That's Entertainment" (from "The Band Wagon" in 1953), "Pure Imagination" (from "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory" , 1971) and "You're Gonna Hear From Me" written in 1965 by the well-known pianist and conductor André Previn.
Finally four pieces by great instrumentalists / composers in the history of jazz, "Con Alma" by Dizzy Gillespie, "Day Dream" by Billy Strayhorn, "Drinkin 'And Drivin" by Jimmy Rowles and "Funkallero" by Bill Evans.

An album not to be missed!
