This album includes the five masses of the MISSARUM LIBER PRIMUS by the famous composer Pierluigi da Palestrina. The singing is by the Choir of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, directed by director Roberto Gabbiani. A reference edition for all lovers of sacred music. Regarding the choice of location, Giulio Cesare Ricci made an exception by choosing not a historic location, but the large choir room of the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, chosen, designed and built by Renzo Piano. Even though it is a modern building, the acoustics are very natural thanks to the wood used to build this room. To bring out the fascinating acoustics of location, Giulio Cesare Ricci used the Signoricci system, entirely analogue and valve. The legendary and original Neumann U47, U48 and M49 tube microphones were used for the recording. The songs were recorded from start to finish without any sound manipulation, without equalization, without reverb, without condensing or expanding the sound...
