This album was recorded by Giulio Cesare Ricci at the Teatro Persico Flacco in Volterra in August 2010.
Igor Stravinsky is one of the greatest musical geniuses of the 20th century. His music is presented regularly at the most formidable concert halls and musical institutions all over the world. He is recognized by many people of respected cultural levelsa outside of the classical music circles. These are The Complete Works for Piano. By complete we mean all compositions available under the current publishers: Boosey and Hawkes, Faber Music, Chester Music, Schott Edition. The complete works includes the original compositions for piano.
The pieces contained in this album were played by Maestro Giacomo Franci and recorded in the order in which these were composed.
The chronological order gives insight into Stravinsky's creative process and evolution.
For this recording Giulio Cesare Ricci used the original Neumann U47, U48, M49 tube microphones and all his equipment: Signoricci microphone preamplifiers, digital, line, microphone and power cables.
Recording in Stereo DSD on Pyramix using dCS A/D and D/A converters.
