Gran Duo Concertant (su temi di Robert le Diable) - 12.32
This album was recorded by Giulio Cesare Ricci in the very natural acoustics of the Ponchielli Theater in Cremona with two exceptional performers: Rocco Filippini, cello and Michele Campanella, piano. Worth highlighting is the use of the Stradivari cello “Barone de Rothschild” by Rocco Filippini and that of the grand piano “Steinway & Sons mod. D'Amburgo 1892” by Michele Campanella. The musical program is very virtuoso and rare, making this album very attractive for fans of great classical music. For this recording Giulio Cesare used the legendary Neumann U47 and M49 valve microphones The Master was created with the Ampex ATR 102 (Electronic Tube Ampex Model 351-1965) 2 tracks, 1/2 inch, 30ips modified by David Manley. A state of the art system recorded without any sound manipulation, without equalization, without reverb, without sound expansion... but natural sound with true timbre.
Brian Smith, sax tenore e soprano - Phil Broadhurst, piano - Andy Brown, Billy Kristian, basso - Frank Gibson, batteria
