The album was recorded on November 7 and 8, 2015 and as usual Giulio Cesare Ricci chose a natural location; in this case we are talking about the Auditorium of the Piaggio Museum in Pontedera, which he loved very much. The Auditorium was created from an environment where the first Vespas were assembled in the early twentieth century and which today offers truly excellent acoustics. For this recording, valve microphones were used, the original Neumann U47, U48 and M49. The Master for Vinyl has been implemented with the AMPEX ATR 102 (Electronic Tube Ampex Model 351 - 1965) 2 tracks, 1/2" 30ips modified by David Manley. The mastering was realized by Giulio Cesare Ricci using the analog and tube Signoricci system. The artistic adventure of DOS continues after the successful experience of the first album that launched the artistic union between the voice of Eleonora Bianchini and the double bass of Enzo Pietropaoli. DOS presents IN SIGHT, an original look at the songs of international pop (from Michael Jackson a Noel Gallagher) and Italian (Battiato, Battisti, Celentano ....) through a path of great refinement. The voice of Eleonora Bianchini blends perfectly with the sound taste of the notes of Enzo Pietropaoli, who makes “sing” his instrument in an extraordinary way: the sound of the double bass is often penalized by “normal” recordings, but those signed by fonè enhance the musicality of the instrument, of which you can enjoy all the upper harmonics, with a particular richness of timbre. DOS IN SIGHT is able to give a new taste and flavor to all the songs contained in the album and that are part of the experience of all of us.
