Live ad Alcatraz is the album that started the collaboration between the guitarist Fausto Mesolella and Giulio Cesare Ricci. Fausto Mesolella had just finished a recording made on the occasion of a live held in Umbria at Alcatraz, a fascinating meeting place for musicians, men of culture and artists in general. Giulio Cesare Ricci at the first listening was very impressed by the interpretations and performances of Fausto Mesolella and therefore he decided to re-master the recording with his entirely analog and valve system Signoriccci .... and the final result was extraordinary.
I made the mastering for the SACD using the Signoricci system, entirely analog and tube. A state-of-the-art system with no sound manipulation, no equalization, no reverb, no compression and expansion... but natural sound with true timbre The sound is natural. To underline the tracks Libertango by Astor Piazzolla, Ai giochi addio by Nino Rota and O sole mio by Capurro / Di Capua.
An album not to be missed!
