With this album Giulio Cesare Ricci continues his collaboration with the great conductor Gianandrea Noseda and the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Regio of Turin.
After the Symphonic Suite Sheherazade by Nikolaj Rimsky-Korsakov it is now the turn of the Second Symphony by Gustav Mahler where in addition to the name of Gianandrea Noseda and the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Regio of Turin the names of Regula Muhlemann (soprano soloist), Anna Maria Chiuri (mezzo-soprano soloist) and Claudio Fenoglio (chorus master) are also added.
Giulio Cesare Ricci for this recording used the legendary original valve microphones Neumann U47, U48, M49
The Master was realized with the Ampex ATR 102 (Electronic Tube Ampex Model 351-1965) 2 tracks 1/2 inch 30ips modified by David Manley.
The mastering for the Vinyl was made by Giulio Cesare Ricci using the analog and valve Signoricci system.
This is a live recording that maintains all the naturalness, dynamics and realism of the performance.
A recording made in the natural acoustics of the Teatro Regio in Turin, without sound manipulation, nor equalization, nor reverb, nor compression and expansion...but natural sound with true timbre
