The perfomers of CASTELLO NIGHTS are Paolo Birro - piano, Aldo Zunino - bass and Alfred Kramer - drums.
These are tracks that are part of the great jazz tradition, some of which were composed by Thelonious Monk and Dizzy Gillespie.
This album is part of the musical projects realized in Certando Alto (FI) in the ancient cellar of the Palazzo di Scoto di Semifonte.
To enhance the fascinating acoustics of this place, Giulio Cesare Ricci used the full analog and valve Signoricci system.
The legendary original Neumann U47, U48, M49 valve microphones were used for the recording
The master was created with the AMPEX ATR 102 (Electronic Tube Ampex Model 351 - 1965) 2 tracks, 1/2inch, 76 cm/sec modified by David Manley.
The songs were performed from start to finish without sound manipulation, nor equalization, nor reverb, nor compression and expansion...but natural sound with true timbre.
